‘Black Clover’ first started airing on October 3, 2017. Black Clover Episode 117, titled “Breaking the Seal” (“Ima Fū o Kiru Toki” in Japanese), is slated to release on January 14, 2020. As usual, it’ll air in Japan on TV Tokyo at 7:00 pm, JST, and will later be available on other streaming platforms as well.

Black Clover Plot and Spoilers:
‘Black Clover‘ starts off with the introduction of two main characters named Asta and Yuno. Both of them were abandoned by their parents and were left behind at a church. Since then, the two of them have constantly been together and grew up like brothers. After spending almost every second of their lives together, they also start sharing the same dream—to become the renowned “Wizard King” someday. However, to become the wizard king, one must know magic. The two boys vow that they’ll grow up and challenge each other for the position of the strongest mage in the kingdom, but things don’t exactly go the way they plan.
Yuno, as a young child, begins to show some promising talent in magic and with each day, he seemingly gets closer to his dreams. On the other side, Asta, who still wishes to be the “Wizard King”, lacks any sort of magical talent and proves to be of no competition against Yuno. As days go by, Yuno just gets better and Asta just tries to make up for his lack of magical abilities by putting himself through some intense physical training.
Then one day, finally, both the boys turn 15 and because of his promising talent as a young mage, Yuno is bestowed with the prestigious Grimoire with a four-leaf clover. Meanwhile, Asta remains the same and gets absolutely nothing. Following this, a strange evil man named Lebuty enters the scene and tries to steal Yuno’s Grimoire from him. Determined to help his best friend, Asta tries to fend off the stranger but his physical strength seems to of no match against Lebuty’s advanced magical abilities.
However, after getting overpowered by him, Asta is taken over by an uncontrollable rage that unleashes all of his buried energy. With this, he also gets the Grimoire with a four-leaf clover—known as the “Black Clover”—that grants him an incredible amount of strength. The newfound power not only helps him defeat Lebuty but also sets him on the right path towards achieving his dreams. In the story that follows after this, the two boys together set out to fulfill their lifelong dream.
