15 Bollywood Movies That Deserve a Sequel

5. Bluffmaster! (2005)

We can ever get enough of con-man stories. ‘Bluffmaster’ is an intelligent comedy thriller following the story of two con men Roy (Abhishek Bachchan) and Adi (Ritesh Deshmukh). Nana Patekar and Boman Irani play two of the most fun characters you are likely to see. A sequel to this movie would be more than welcomed by the audience who are tired of the monotonous films being made nowadays.

4. Andaz Apna Apna (1994)

Cult classic, comedy, hilarious and full of slapstick comedy, that’s ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ for you. This comedy film by Rajkumar Santoshi has Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) at their hilarious best. With memorable characters like Shakti Kapoor’s Crime Master Gogo, Viju Khote’s Robert and Shehzad Khan’s Bhalla, the movie is entertainment at its best. Fans have been asking for a sequel since a long time and if it’s made it will make a whole lot of people happy, especially with the kind of following Aamir and Salman Khan have nowadays.

3. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)

Another movie for which fans have been asking for a sequel. Farhan Akhtar, who directed the movie has been often been asked for a possibility of a sequel with his reply always a NO. But still, things change as time changes and we hope this buddy film does get a sequel. A reunion for Akash, Sameer and Sid is long awaited.

2. Go Goa Gone (2013)

India’s first try at zom-com hit the bull’s eye. Directed by Raj and DK, ‘Go Goa Goa’ was the perfect zombie comedy, taking the idea from films like ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Zombieland’ but creating something totally unique. ‘Go Goa Gone’ was one of a kind, starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Puja Gupta and Anand Tiwari. With a potential cliffhanger at the end of the movie, we do hope they come back for an equally entertaining part two.

1. Mr. India (1987)

“Mogambo Khush Hua”- this line has been etched in Bollywood history. The character Mogambo played by the late Amrish Puri is one of the best villain you are ever likely to come across. The film has elements of sci-fi thriller and a Bollywood drama but balances out things well. With Anil Kapoor as the hero Mr. India who can become invisible with a help of a wristband and Sridevi at her chirpy best, ‘Mr. India’ is a treat. Good sci-fi films in Bollywood are rare, a good story to continue the legend of ‘Mr. India’ and an excellent script could do the trick for us to have sequel to the excellent film. We can surely hope and keep our fingers crossed for a sequel.
