15 Bollywood Movie Roles Perfect For Tom Cruise

6. Kick (2014)

After a series of failed attempts at keeping a regular job, Devilal Singh realizes his heart lay in the welfare of the underprivileged children. He then starts robbing those who wronged him, so that he could help a little, orphaned heart patient and save her life. Imagine Tom Cruise playing Salman Khan’s Devi aka Devil, showing off his daredevilry in front of an approaching train!

7. Bhoot (2003)

It is difficult to imagine Tom Cruise in a supernatural thriller like this one, but it would be well worth the try! Tom Cruise could have stepped in for Ajay Devgn as Vishal, portraying Urmila Matondkar’s husband, who is spooked out by the eerie events that take place in his newly-rented apartment, followed by the wife’s strange behavior. It would have been a revelation!

8. Darr (1993)

Tom Cruise had starred in a psychological thriller ‘Vanilla Sky’ opposite Penelope Cruz back in 2001. Shah Rukh Khan, too, appeared as the psychopathic lover obsessed by K…K…K…Kiran in ‘Darr’, much before Cruise’s film. Although the stories of both movies are way too different from each other, what we want to stress on is, had Yash Chopra decided to cast Tom Cruise in ‘Darr’, it would have worked real wonders! Cruise as the stuttering Rahul would really have been a treat to the eyes!

9. Mr. India (1987)

Although Hollywood movies are technically advanced and have amazing gadgets and gizmos at their beck and call, filmmakers could not come up with an idea like Mr. India! The movie was not just way ahead of its time, but it also had an emotional storyline that tugged at our heartstrings. Think of Tom Cruise as Arun Bhaiyya, doing his best to feed the little, orphaned hungry mouths and also fighting off wrongdoers with his invisibility gadget, ticking away under his sleeve!

10. OMG – Oh My God! (2012)

Akshay Kumar rode a custom-made Vardenchi Chopper, wore dark glasses, donned branded suits and used embellished laptops as Lord Krishna in ‘OMG’. He did everything he could to look the part and we all know what the end result turned out to be – ‘OMG’ won an award for the Best Adapted Screenplay at the 60th National Award function. Wouldn’t Tom Cruise fit well as the sophisticated Lord Krishna in human form, had Akshay Kumar turned down the offer?
