15 Bollywood Movie Roles Perfect For Tom Cruise

11. Ek Hasina Thi (2004)

When a rich businessman’s girlfriend is arrested for possessing illegal weapons, she pleads guilty in court, hoping her jail sentence would be reduced. But instead she realizes she’s been framed by her boyfriend, who works hand-in-glove with the underworld and seeks revenge later. Tom Cruise would have been an apt choice to play the flamboyant Saif Ali Khan’s role and we think he would have done justice to the character in the dark thriller.

12. Baby (2015)

Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Taapsee Pannu and Rana Daggubati starred in Neeraj Pandey’s spy thriller, which was quite successful at the box office. The story follows a special task force, which works undercover to bring a wanted terrorist to the book. But when the plan misfires, they go to Saudi Arabia pursuing him and catch hold of terror mastermind instead. The action film could have featured Tom Cruise in Akshay Kumar’s role, kicking and beating the pulp out of terrorists and we are sure the movie would have clicked!

13. Talaash (2012)

The psychological horror movie, which featured Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles, had a slow start at the box office for its occult theme, but then word spread about its underlying suspense and the film’s BO collections rose. The story is deeply etched in our minds six years post its release and it still manages to give us the creeps. We believe Tom Cruise could have played Aamir Khan’s guilt-ridden father Suri, a top cop, investigating the strange death of an actor, getting entangled in the case as it draws to a close. Don’t you think?

14. Dostana (2008)

They are straight, yet they have to pretend to be gay partners to rent an apartment in Miami. And to keep up with the charade and the apartment, Sam and Kunal must play along. But when the sultry owner of the place steps in, they realize they’ve made a grave mistake and try to win the trust of the girl they have fallen for, getting into seriously funny moments each time they try. We think Tom Cruise could have easily portrayed John Abraham’s character and given the breezy rom-com a different feel altogether.

15. Raavan (2010)

How about imagining Tom Cruise as the antagonist of a film? Well, we think he could have added his own charm to a movie that was totally desi on all counts. Right from the premise, to the characterization, to the setting of the film, ‘Raavan’ was as Indian as it could be. The film that marked Chiyaan Vikram’s foray into Bollywood was a great success and we guess Tom Cruise would’ve agreed to play Beera, since it would have been stepping out of the comfort zone for the star!
