‘Devs’ presents a science-based thriller story that will certainly change the way one views the world. Although the show is not considered to be science-fiction, it has a dominantly speculative theme that would make viewers question the concept of free will and fate from a quantum mechanics aspect.
However, that should not stop anyone from watching the show. While the science depicted can be complex, it is explained extremely well, thanks to the talent of the series’ creator, writer and director, Alex Garland. The fifth episode, in particular, shows Garland’s affinity for storytelling. The episode is told from Katie’s point of view and explains the many-worlds interpretation, a quantum mechanics theory engagingly. Towards the end of the episode, Jamie is shown helping Lily escape from the hospital.
Devs Episode 6 Release Date: When Does it Premiere?
The sixth episode of ‘Devs’ is scheduled to premiere on April 2, 2020 on Hulu. The episode will most likely be uploaded at 6 AM E.T./3 AM P.T. However, the time is subject to change. The show returns one week after the fifth episode was released on the streaming platform and now follows a weekly format.

Devs Episode 6 Spoilers:
The fifth episode of ‘Devs’ ends with Jamie helping Lily escape from her involuntary psychiatric hold. Moreover, he also sends his family to a safe location. Thus, one can expect Jamie to fearlessly support Lily in her endeavor to find out the truth behind Sergei’s death.
Apart from that, Katie is also shown using the Devs system for a seemingly personal motif. It is not revealed what her true intentions are, but viewers may get an inkling of that in the sixth episode. The blurb for the sixth episode also indicates that: “Lily and Jamie visit Forest looking for answers, and Katie reveals to Lily the true nature of the Devs system.”
The blurb reveals that Katie will be sharing the truth of the Devs system with Lily. This is an extreme move for Katie and makes one wonder whether she is on Lily’s side. She has been shown to be extremely loyal to Forest so far. However, she does begin to start doubting him after he fires Lyndon in the fourth episode.
Apart from that, a major showdown between Lily and Forest can also be expected. The fact that Lily and Jamie confront Forest is unexpected. However, it will be interesting to see how Forest reacts…
