Season 5 of ‘Dr. Pimple Popper’ features some of the most challenging cases faced by Dr. Sandra Lee to date. Some of these cases had been introduced in her remotely filmed show, ‘Dr. Pimple Popper: Before The Pop’, which features telemedicine appointments during the pandemic. And in season 5, we see Dr. Lee back in action — while donning her splash mask and empathetic bedside manner — and adhering to social-distancing norms. The expert rolls up her sleeves and tackles the cases shown in ‘Before the Pop’, as well as, additional incidents of severe skin conditions.
Season 5 features some of the most extreme cases, including an eight-year-old girl, who happens to be the youngest patient on the series to date. She is diagnosed with a severe case of psoriasis. We also meet a man with massive keloids on the back of his head and scalp. There is a case of nevus sebaceous that covers a woman’s face in almost all of its entirety. The premiere features three patients, each of them suffering from serious skin disorders.
