Enen No Shounoutai Season 2 Release Date Confirmed

Most typical shounen anime walk you through the journey of a male protagonist, who, with each episode, faces new adversaries and grows stronger. ‘Fire Force’ takes a more original approach towards the genre and presents a terrifying world where humans live in the constant fear of exploding into flames. Its fight scenes are its major selling point, and its gorgeous animation and relevant OSTs make these even better. ‘Fire Force’ clearly has a lot of potential and if, like us, you’ve been eagerly waiting for its second season, read on to know all about its renewal status.

Fire Force Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?

‘Fire Force’ season 1 released on July 6, 2019, and with a total of 24 episodes, it finished airing on December 28, 2019. Because of the great response that it received after season 1, its second season has now been confirmed. Fire Force Season 2 is scheduled to release sometime in July 2020 and as one would expect, Shinra Kusakabe’s story will generate a lot more heat this time.

The creators of the show have not yet confirmed if it will be a split-cour season of the first installment or it will be a full-fledged season 2 but since the first season itself had 24 episodes, our best guess is that it’s a whole new season. According to reports, the primary production staff at David Production is again returning for the new season and in a recent issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine, it was also revealed that the production of season 2 is going well so far. What is Fire Force About?

Spontaneous Human Combustion is a rare yet deadly phenomenon that turns ordinary people into fiery and violent creatures known as the “Infernals.” Infernals turn out to be first-generation beings. Their evolved versions, who belong to the second and third generation of Human Combustion come to be known as pyrokinetics. These people possess the ability to control fire and manipulate it based on how they wish to use it. So in order to make sure that the rest of the world is well protected against the Infernals, a Special Fire Force is established by the Tokyo Armed Forces, Fire Defense Agency, and Holy Church of Sol.

Better known as Devil’s Footprints, third-generation pyrokinetic Shinra Kusakabe gets the opportunity to join the Special Fire Force along with a few others of his kind. Determined to make his world a better place, he helms on the responsibility of putting out Infernals and ending them for good. But soon, Shinra begins to realize that his job has a dark side as well. There’s chaos in the brigade, random Infernal sightings are becoming common, and most of all, a strange group claims to know more about his family’s past than he does. As Shinra fights Infernals with his team of pyrokinetics, he also tries to unravel the mysteries of his past.
