We have seen ‘La La Land’ (even though it is still more than a month away from its official release). We have reviewed it (Read it here). We have also predicted that it will win Best Picture Oscar (Read it here). So, what’s left then? When a film is as extraordinary as ‘La La Land’ is, even a 2.5 minutes trailer can give you goosebumps. That’s exactly what happened when I watched this trailer. If I had to summarize the film in one word, I would pick “magical”. No film in recent memory deserves to be seen on the big screen as much as ‘La La Land’. It is a film that defines and validates the existence of cinema as the most transformative art form. It truly does!
Here’s the short synopsis of the film:
Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, serves lattes to movie stars in between auditions and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a jazz musician, scrapes by playing cocktail party gigs in dingy bars, but as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.
