12 Hollywood Movies That Every Rajinikanth Fan Must Watch

7. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

‘Captain America’ did not find a spot here only because it is a Superhero movie. It is because this is the best movie i could find to cherish all the quarters of Rajinikanth from his personal life to his dedicated loyal fan club. It may sound fancy, but the ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ has it all and i will leave it to you to discover the insights. Find one and you will start finding many.

8. Rain Man (1988)

It won’t be fallacious to say that almost every movie of Rajinikanth had a brotherly or sisterly love encompassing his shadows until late 90’s (to say the least). And his character association with on-screen siblings have only written success stories for him. Hollywood has never been repulsive to bring the same formula to screen and ‘Rain man’ is a fine example for that. An automobile dealer gets furious after learning that his rich father has left all his fortunes to his savant brother. At some point he realizes that is brother is more valuable to him than the fortunes he has been chasing all along. The movie has all ingredients to discharge soul-wrenching emotions for the ardent fans of Rajinikanth.

9. Scarface (1983)

Another Al Pacino movie in the list evinces how tailor-made the role of a don is, for both the superstars. In ‘Scarface’, Al Pacino plays Tony Montana, a Cuban immigrant, embarks the image of a gangster and rises to fame by building a drug empire. Rajinikanth, as said already, has donned many such roles in his filmography and it fits perfectly into his shoes that there can be no room for criticisms when he caps it. One more point to be extracted from ‘Scarface’ is the alter-ego the character possesses, which has always worked well for Rajinikanth. In Other words, if you are missing superstar’s gangster gimmicks in Hollywood, watch an Al Pacino starrer.

10. Into the Wild (2007)

If Sean Penn had heard about Rajinikanth’s spiritual hunger, he would have casted the star himself in ‘Into the Wild’ as he would evoke much authenticity to the central character ‘Christopher Mccandless’. Rajinikanth’s frequent visits to ‘The Himalayas’ shows his spiritual quests and his paths to find Serenity. ‘Into the Wild’ follows the life of a young graduate who suspends communication with his family and leaves home to travel across the country. In his Spiritual journey, he meets random strangers and gets acquainted with them. Rajinikanth’s solitary nature and spiritual conscience comes close to Mccandless’s biography in every frame which makes it an obvious choice for the Superstar fans.

11. Shanghai Noon (2000)

I’m sure the majority of viewers would accuse me if i finish this article without a Jackie Chan flick .The kind of exuberance Jackie ignites on screen is the quality that can’t be matched by any other Asian actor, only if Rajinikanth wasn’t from Asia. Both have a royal fan-fair, loved by people of all age groups and moreover they are the most significant monuments of the continent. Interestingly both actors spun their acting career to nearly half-a-century, they dealt with buddy-action movies and brought more of a common man to the screen which brought them a household name. Watching a Jackie Chan movie will virtually fill the space of Rajinikanth in Hollywood.

12. All the King’s Men (1949)

Rajinikanth may be a soft-spoken, down-to-earth personality, but that doesn’t stop him from exploring the unabridged ideologies in politics, although the 67 year-old star is often condemned for being exploited by the political parties. ‘Rajinikanth to Politics?’ is the new catchphrase question fired among the people all over the country. ‘All the King’s Men’ highlights a man’s desires to help his state by extirpating all the immoral and illegal acts in the society but he has no political background. The Opposition party hires him only to gather votes. Remember Superstar’s recent statement on politics ?? “Our System is corrupted and has to be amended”. Smells fishy!!
