20 Bollywood Movies Hollywood Should Remake

6. Pink (2016)

No means no, but we would still want Hollywood to say yes to remake a hard-hitting courtroom drama like ‘Pink’, especially at a time when their country, too, is grappling with the sensitive issue of sexual abuse and violence against women!

7. Aankhen (2002)

News was rife post the release of ‘Aankhen’ that a Hollywood filmmaker had wanted to remake the film starring Robert De Niro in Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes, but nothing ever materialized. The game is still on, Hollywood! Show us what you can do with a theme like three blind men robbing a bank!

8. Nayak (2001)

A common man rises to the occasion and deals with political challenges head on, which had been plaguing the masses, was the theme of ‘Nayak’, which portrayed the harsh realities of the system to a T. We would want to see a westernised version of the Anil Kapoor-starrer, which we are sure, will ably bring out the problems in their own system!

9. The Lunchbox (2013)

One woman, in an insipid marriage, tries to add some flavour to it by preparing delicious meals for his husband, which inadvertently keeps getting delivered to someone else, thus giving rise to an epistolary relationship. We would want to see what Hollywood can do with a film like this, where dialogues are a bare minimum yet the subtle performances win our hearts!

10. Udaan (2010)

A metaphorical film, ‘Udaan’ depicted a bitter relationship between an abusive, alcoholic father and his teenaged son, who never get along due to a void between them and how later on, the son decides to put his past behind and move on in life. There may have been films like these in the West, but we want to see a film as close to reality as this one in Hollywood!
