11. Kahaani (2012)
When a pregnant woman from London lands in Kolkata in search of her missing husband, she is dejected when the people she meets along the way, tell her they’ve never met a person she describes as her man. We want Hollywood to remake ‘Kahaani’, since the thrilling murder mystery is one story with a surprise end, which we think, Hollywood can do justice to!
12. Special 26 (2013)
A story set in the India of the 80s, four con artists manage to pull off high-end heists across the country, yet never get caught, despite the CBI keeping a constant watchful eye on them. We want Hollywood to remake a crafty film like ‘Special 26’, which was deftly-scripted and which also had some superlative performances from the lead actors.
13. Baby (2015)
While the world is struggling to wipe out terrorism from the face of the earth, Project Baby captured a radical group’s kingpin and brought its activities to its knees. We really want Hollywood to remake Neeraj Pandey’s action thriller ‘Baby’, which is totally in sync with today’s scenario the world over.
14. Lootera (2013)
Based on O. Henry’s “The Last Leaf”, Vikramaditya Motwane’s film was poetry in motion, starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. The film, which received commercial as well as critical acclaim, was precise and comprehensive and appealed to a larger audience. There have been short stories in Hollywood on the subject before, but we would want to see a full-length film with the theme of ‘Lootera’ central to it.
15. Neerja (2016)
The story of a courageous, young air hostess Neerja Bhanot, who puts her job and her life on the line to save hundreds of passengers on board the fateful PanAm flight 73, enroute to Germany was successfully made into a film starring Sonam Kapoor and it would be a treat to watch the real-life tale of heroism in Hollywood, where the girl was felicitated posthumously with bravery awards too.
