18 Indian Actors We Would Love to See in Marvel Movies

6. Rajinikanth as Nick Fury

The all-powerful Thalaivar is an epitome of acting wisdom, fan-following and swag. No one can match or even close-in on his intimidating personality. Nick Fury’s ingenuity combined with Rajinikanth’s dialogues will give the character an unfathomable impetus, something that no one would dare to confront. “About damn time”, isn’t it?

5. Ajith Kumar as The Hulk

Another classic example of acting genius combined with a bit of a cult following, Ajith Kumar would better the Hulk in many ways, a few ways being by bringing fierceness, twists and style to the Incredible character. A seasoned action-hero himself, with box-office hits like ‘Villain’, ‘Mankatha’ and ‘Billa’, Ajith’s getting into the intricacies of the Hulk’s character would be worth watching.

4. Priyanka Chopra as Black Widow

Having achieved a credible amount of success and popularity with ‘Quantico’ and ‘Baywatch’, Priyanka could easily step in to be the Super Spy who has exceptional combat skills and manipulative methods. Priyanka’s stature as an actress and her alluring gait and glamour will add up further spice to the role. Had it been a few years earlier, she could have very well landed the auditions, couldn’t she?

3. Prabhas as Thor

No one knows whether our heartthrob Baahubali Prabhas will be “worthy” of the Hammer or to what extent, but we Indians are almost certain that he fits the role more than anyone else. Having played a mythological-fictional divine superhero before, I don’t think anyone else is more suited than himself for being the God of Thunder. Though Chris Hemsworth has nailed it in the red cape so far, we would love to watch Prabhas wield the Mjolnir. Rest assured, no Katappa can kill this “Baahubali”.

2. Aditya Roy Kapur as Captain America

Okay. Calm down. Let’s try and work out the math here. We cannot doubt Aditya’s acting prowess, even though he has fewer box-office hits in his pocket. Being slightly taller yet less charming than Chris Evans (He’s CHRIS EVANS for God’s sake), Aditya Roy could pull off this gig with scores of accolades. Having impressed us with his work in films like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’, given his hot bod and well-toned musculature, he would make a superb Captain America. Probably he might need some work with the voice though, don’t you think? Avengers, suit up.

1. Irrfan Khan as Iron Man

What defines the Invincible Iron Man? Technological leaps? No. Being a Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist? No. Robert Downey Jr.? YES. A loud and astounding Yes. The only reason we’ve shown immense love for the beloved superhero is because of RDJ’s work. There’s no one on this planet who could walk his path. If I look at the Indian counterparts, Irrfan seemed the only likely candidate who could do it, but not without a lot of criticism and hitting a few rough patches. Still, I’d vouch for Irrfan Khan being the best Indian fit for appropriating the flair and finesse of RDJ. Evident with his renowned ability to pull some power-packed punches (read ‘Inferno’) and poised performances, Irrfan could be the next Tony Stark, less a few pounds of flab.
