Insecure Season 4 Release Date
‘Insecure’ season 4 is all set to release on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at 10 pm ET on HBO. It will reportedly conclude its run on June 14, 2020. As good news to fans, the fourth season will comprise ten 30-minutes episodes instead of eight.
Insecure Season 4 Cast: Who is in it?
The network has confirmed the main cast for season 4. Issa Rae will return to headline the cast as Issa Dee, the witty but insecure black woman in Los Angeles. Yvonne Orji will reprise her role as Molly Carter, Issa’s best friend. The other members of the girl gang – Natasha Rothwell and Amanda Seales are all set to come back for another round as Kelli and Tiffany, respectively.
The other returning members include Jay Ellis as Issa’s ex-boyfriend Lawrence Walker, Kendrick Sampson as Nathan Campbell, Lisa Joyce as Frieda, Y’lan Noel as Daniel, Alexander Hodge as Andrew AKA Asian Bee, and Christina Elmore as Condola, among others.
Insecure Season 4 Plot: What can it be About?
In season 3 finale, Nathan returns to meet Issa on the occasion of her 30th birthday but gets turned down by Molly. Meanwhile, Issa and Lawrence spend some time together as friends, although Lawrence talks to his father about his complicated relationship with Issa. Molly calls up Andrew, hinting at giving their relationship another chance. Issa befriends the movie-night-organizer lady and expresses her excitement over her block-party concept being a hit. Towards the end, it is revealed that Lawrence is dating the organizer lady. Also, Nathan and Issa finally meet face to face, and he apologizes for ghosting her citing distorted mental health as the reason.
We can expect season 4 to showcase the relationship dynamics of three complicated pairs – Issa and Nathan, Lawrence and Condola (organizer lady), and Molly and Andrew. Issa might pursue her passion project with all her heart and also explore her relationship with Nathan. Meanwhile, things can get serious between Molly and Andrew, considering how keen Molly is on making their relationship work. We might also get to witness some fireworks between Issa and Condola, who might be asked to band together for a project, thus, putting Lawrence in an awkward position. Also, Tiffany’s new baby might bring in a lot of emotions in the girl gang. Whatever happens, it’s going to be a wild ride.
