James Jones’ love story and his trysts with love have long been in focus on Netflix’s ‘Love on the Spectrum.’ From being someone who made few connections to someone who was exhausted and no longer wanted to date, James has come a long way. He hoped the third time would be the charm, and in season 4, it came to life in a full and meaningful way. The season featured him and his girlfriend, Shelley Wolfe, extensively and showed what this new, exciting chapter in their lives looks like.
James and Shelley Decided to Create a Space Entirely of Their Own
In the last episode of season 3, James Jones brought his girlfriend, Shelley Wolfe, to the family bonfire and introduced them to the cameras. However, their love story started in a different way. James has said that Shelley had seen him on the series before and had reached out to him online. The more they spoke, the more their feelings grew for one another, and soon they met in person at a gaming arcade. It was after this that James realized his feelings, and on his 37th birthday, he asked her to be his girlfriend. She gladly said yes, and they sealed their promise with a kiss on screen.
In this season, it was very clear that James and Shelley took to each other’s lives. He brought her to his parents’ house, and they all had breakfast together, and it felt pretty routine for them. The couple discussed their plans to get a house of their own and looked at many places together, trying to find one that suited both of them. They even took a vacation together to Cape Cod, and with each passing day, it felt like the love between them grew. From their shared passion and enthusiasm for Renaissance fairs to their eagerness to see new sights wherever they go, they have a lot in common and are excitedly waiting to find a place to call home.
James and Shelley Are Equally Smitten With Each Other
James and Shelley seem very set on getting a place of their own and starting to live together. They have affirmed their feelings for one another time and again and have dropped enough hints to show how beautifully their love is building. The couple attended the Hammond Castle Renaissance Fair Day in November 2025 and is set to be the featured guests at the Knight to Remember annual gala at Searles Castle in Windham, New Hampshire, in April 2026.
They also went out for lunch at the Black Whale restaurant in New Bedford in January 2026, along with many such small and big moments together. They have been speaking to each other since 2024, and they know each other well by now, fitting easily into each other’s worlds. In fact, James has even written a song named “Heavy Metal Queen” for his girlfriend, and there can be no bigger sign of two people being in love. They are still seeing each other and continuing to grow their relationship.

James Jones works as an Onsite Technician at Tata Consultancy Services, a role he has held full-time since April 2020. Alongside this, he has been working as an Onsite Support Specialist at Sanofi Genzyme in Northborough, Massachusetts, since December 2017, where he has installed new computers as part of company-wide upgrades and provided technical support alongside other technicians. Academically, James holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Fitchburg State University, a CompTIA A+ Certification from the American Career Institute, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Framingham State University. He also gained early experience as an intern, assisting technical support staff with installing systems and running cables.
Shelley, hailing from Southampton, England, went to university in Japan and lived there for seven or eight years, learning the language and immersing herself in the culture. She now resides in New Hampshire and works as a senior advertising manager, collaborating with overseas clients and handling international projects. Outside of her professional life, she is a Renaissance fair fan and enjoys being part of that world, which also aligns with shared interests in her relationship.
