5. Saala Khadoos (2016)

In ‘Saala Khadoos’, Madhavan plays a boxer who fails in his profession due to dirty politics. He then becomes a coach in the coming years. Even here he manages to get himself into trouble. He finds a crude talent on the street and there the story continues. His struggles to coach his new find with his rough coaching methods and rifts. The film is good but at rank 140, it seems overrated. It deserves to be in the Top 250 list but not at 140.
4. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)

It was a rare occasion that a biopic was made on a person who is still active in his profession. ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ showed glimpses of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s life that people had little idea about. His background, where he came from and his struggle to reach the top was shown. The movie wasn’t bad but it was criticized to have removed the controversial parts. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, more was expected from the movie but the movie turned out to be just another sports flick. The movie had really good sequences like the world cup winning 6 in 2011 at Wankhede stadium, which still gives people goosebumps. The movie has a rank of 126 and score of 7.6 on the list, it does seem overrated compared to some movies in the same slot. It does deserve to be on the list, just not this high.
3. Drishyam (2015)

Let’s just start with the rank and score for ‘Drishyam’. Drishyam is ranked at 19 on the Top 250 list with a score of 8.2, on par with ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Munnabhai MBBS’. The movie just isn’t as good as the movies mentioned in the earlier line. This shows us how overrated the movie is. ‘Drishyam’ is a good thriller but by no means does it deserve to be ranked 19. It’s no classic. Deserves to be somewhere between 100 and 200 rank on the list.
2. Sultan (2016)

‘Sultan’ is ranked almost at the end of the Top 250 Indian movies list at 243. But in all honesty, the movie does not deserve to be on the list. It was not a good movie in any way. It was full of flaws and was made to appease the fans. The movie worked because the fan following of Salman Khan. It had average reviews. It is certainly not top 250 contender and it’s purely due to fan ratings that it has managed to appear on the list. Overrated? BIG TIME!

It is a shock that this movie is even on the list! Forget the list of Top 250, it shouldn’t be on the Top 500 list of Indian movies if there was one! Gunda has some atrocious dialogues, a crappy story and is a bad movie overall. ‘Gunda’ is such a movie that you can’t say if it’s a spoof flick or do we take them seriously. It’s unintentionally funny but certainly not a movie one would want to see. It has an undeserved 220 rank on the list. Most overrated movie on the list by far.
