As expected, after the worst of times in the weakest of conditions, things are taking a turn for the better for the witches, and consequently, for Greendale too. Instead of bowing down, which never really was an option in the first place, Sabrina and her coven decided to weather the storm by any means possible. They took advantage of every opportunity, no matter how small. They even harnessed the essence of the Dark Lord that Ambrose had managed to separate from Nick and used it as protection against the pagans. The Dark Lord, meanwhile, continued to be a menace. But the tide is turning now, and the witches are rising again.

After Agatha disrupted their spell, the coven believed that they had not been able to send the word out for help. However, the small window that they had worked and the wayward witches came to their assistance. With the arrival of help, hope is renewed for the witches and they start working on the plans to defend the attack by the pagans who have been preparing to conjure one of their old gods.
The loner witches are not the only unexpected help that Sabrina and her friends receive in this episode. When Roz’s stone form is shattered, Caliban appears out of nowhere to extend a helping hand. In exchange for this, he puts an unusual proposition in front of her. Sabrina doesn’t accept it instantly, but she doesn’t completely refuse it either. Seeing her with Caliban, Nick lashes out at Sabrina for proving his suspicions right. But she has had enough of his self-pity and narcissism now.
Another help surfaces when Robin reveals himself to be a pagan and offers to put a stop to the bloodbath created by his people. He has betrayed his kind and might have to pay the price for it, but he is ready to see it through. He proves invaluable to the witches and helps them turn the tables against the pagans.
Meanwhile, Lilith runs away from Hell seeking asylum, someplace the Dark Lord won’t reach her. But it is only a matter of time before he catches up with her. Ms Wardwell comes to know about the Spellmans being witches and, holding them responsible for Adam’s death, decides to do something about it.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3 Episode 6 Review
After losing, or at least, not completely succeeding in their attempts to restore their powers, the witches finally receive a win in this episode. With only two more episodes to go, the show had to balance the scales in order to turn the upcoming battle into a fair fight. This episode is all about allowing the witches to building their defences and maybe even turn towards the offensive when the opportunity presents itself.
Unlikely allies show up on every corner. While some expect something in return for their efforts, some just want to be accepted and welcomed in the group. No matter what the face of their aid might be, the witches have to take whatever they can get. Once again, Sabrina uses her wits to bring together the help from different ends, ties them up together and instead of waiting around for an attack, goes out and plays a trick of her own.
The episode also changes the game of romance for Sabrina. Even after her break-up with Nick, Sabrina expects it to be a temporary thing. She thinks they still have a chance of getting back together. The distance from Nick also allows her to reassess her feelings for Harvey, who is now with Roz, and looks like, he might also struggle with where his love truly lies in the coming episodes. Caliban had presented himself as a possible suitor, and he makes a move on his front to lay out all the cards in front of Sabrina.
Love has always been a strong, and often primary, motivator for Sabrina. Her letting go of the past strings could mean that the next relationship she pursues might not be driven by just love. With her taking the throne of Hell for herself, she will have to act like a queen, and a monarch has to make choices that serve the greater purpose, not caring about what they personally want. Caliban’s offer is on the table and this could mean a completely different road for her.
Even with so much happening in the course of one hour, the breath-taking moment of the episode is its ending, which is something that ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ has made a habit of in this part. There is no way you can turn away from continuing after that cliff-hanger.
