‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ came without any claims, on a small budget, and to everyone’s surprise became a blockbuster. Thus a Tamil version was soon inspired. However, ‘Poi Solla Porom’ failed short of the charm that the original had and thus failed to impress the audience. It just settled as an average grosser.
9. Teen Maar (Telugu)
Inspired by ‘Love Aaj Kal’
‘Teen Maar’ was an honest remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Love Aaj Kal’. The movie surely had it charms, however it failed to impress all audiences. ‘Teen Maar’ had a decent run at the box office and was declared as a box office winner.

Inspired by ‘Jolly LLB’
‘Manithan’ was inspired from Bollywood blockbuster ‘Jolly LLB’. The movie certainly had its flaws but in a sense, the movie remained loyal to the original concept. Manithan was opened to positive reviews from critics and audience alike. This Tamil movie had a fair run at box office.
7. Gopala Gopala (Telugu)
Inspired by ‘OMG – Oh My God’
Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s ‘Gopala Gopala’ was an inspired remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘OMG – Oh My God’. Daggubati Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan were cast as the lead for Telugu remake. The movie was able to bring on the same charm and emotions on screen. The film was praised by the critics and was well received by audience too.
6. Gabbar Singh (Telugu)
Inspired by ‘Dabangg’
This Telugu version of Salman starrer was true to its original. The movie retained the charm and energy that the original one had and modified itself for the South Indian audience. The movie was an absolute crowd puller and became one of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu cinema.
