In January 2023, when Tanya Fandrich could not reach her husband, Kenny Fandrich, she grew worried. The recent developments in their lives had made her concerned, as her husband had been stalked and they had also approached the police several times. Tanya located her husband’s phone in the parking lot of his workplace at the Intel campus in Hillsboro, Oregon. That was where Kenny’s remains were found, and Tanya helped the police zero in on the perpetrator. Tanya Fandrich Was the First One to Raise an Alarm About Her Husband’s Disappearance
Tanya met Kenneth “Kenny” Fandrich for the first time in Alaska. He had been in the city to start a new underwater welding venture and was doing well for himself. The two fell in love and got married sometime around 1993. Eventually, they moved to Oregon City, Oregon, where Kenny eventually started working for Intel. Around 2000, Tanya also found a great place to work at Milner Veterinary Hospital, which was run by Steven Milner. She was one of the employees hired by the clinic and remained there for many years.
Tanya said that around 2017, her marriage was not going well. She suspected that Kenny was not faithful to her, and that he was also frequently away from home for work. She said that was when she began an extramarital affair with Milner. Tanya claimed that it lasted only about five months and that she ended it after her husband found out. She and Kenny worked things out between them and decided to stay together. She later testified that, in the months that followed, Milner stalked and allegedly threatened her husband many times. She also spoke about instances when she allegedly found Milner entering their house and said that he had placed GPS devices on both her and Kenny’s vehicles.
Tanya and Kenny used to always share their locations with each other. That is why, on January 27, 2023, when she was unable to reach Kenny, she tracked him down to the Intel parking lot and reported him missing. She immediately knew something was wrong and reached the parking lot around the same time as the police. That was when she found out that he had passed away. She was taken to the police station, where she was interviewed and provided investigators with the details about Milner, including the history of his alleged stalking and threats toward Kenny.
Tanya Fandrich Decided to Keep a Low Profile Since Giving a Victim Impact Statement
Steven Milner had maintained that he had been tracking and following Kenny Fandrich because he was scared for Tanya’s safety. He had also falsely claimed that they were still in a romantic relationship, but Tanya denied this and said that the affair had ended within just a few months. In fact, at Milner’s house, detectives discovered what they described as a “shrine dedicated to Tanya,” containing her pictures and pieces of her clothing.
In January 2025, Tanya took the stand and testified for the prosecution. In February 2025, she also delivered a long victim impact statement during Milner’s sentencing, saying that he had impacted and hurt them for years, ruining many lives. She was also critical of law enforcement, accusing them of not taking her and Kenny’s complaints seriously as the stalking escalated. She has since kept a low profile and asked that her privacy be respected.
