‘Seven Deadly Sins’ began with a very intriguing first season and within no time, it became one of the most popular anime shows of our time. However, since then, things have slightly gone downhill for the series. Not to mention, Studio Deen’s involvement with season 4 hasn’t really been in its favor.
Even so, there sure is something about this season that is still keeping us engaged as viewers. Perhaps its the depth of its storyline or its simply the familiarity of characters, whatever the reason may be, we can’t help but wait for its new episodes every single week. The Seven Deadly Sins Season 4 Episode 14 Spoilers: What to Expect?
Somewhere near the end of the 12th episode, after being trapped inside the perfect cube by Merlin, Meliodas completely loses control over all of his abilities. He takes his true evil form and becomes the Commander of the Ten Commandments. That’s when Escanor decides to bring things under control and battles Meliodas. However, things don’t end too well from him and he eventually gets stabbed by Meliodas. Episode 14 kicks off from here and shows how Meliodas is able to overpower Escanor, however, soon after this, Escanor gets back up on his feet. He tells Meliodas that he may be strong in his true form but he can never be stronger than him. He then gets a “power up” and the size of his muscles increase substantially.
While Escanor tries to fight Meliodas, the other Sins get really worried about him as he still seems to be weaker compared to Meliodas. But to everyone’s surprise, he eventually manages to bring Meliodas down. Merlin removes the perfect cube around them and Escanor proudly boasts about his strength. For a while, it almost seems like he is the strongest of them all but that’s when Merlin decides to teach him a lesson and knocks him down with a punch. In the second half of the episode, Elizabeth decides to stay with Meliodas in the perfect cube that Merlin traps him for everyone’s safety. Along with this, a new character named King Arthur Pendragon is also introduced, who is apparently the worthy yielder of the Excalibur sword. Meanwhile, Zeldris tries to get his hands on the sword but realizes that he is not worthy of doing it.
The first few episodes of this season mostly focused on the individual development of the main characters. The storyline was divided into several arcs that shed light on the backstories of all the main Sins. But now, the anime is starting to align all of these stories with each other and is focusing more on the development of the Sins as a group. Since King Arthur has now been introduced as another key character of the series, the next few episodes will heavily emphasize the role that he will potentially play in saving the world from the Demon Clan. Moreover, since Zeldris wants to get his hands on his sword, we can also expect a showdown between the two characters in the next few episodes.
When it comes to the Sins, Merlin is now starting to believe that Meliodas will never be the same and is willing to do anything to protects herself and others from him. And like always, Elizabeth is the only one who is willing to risk everything just to make sure that Meliodas is fine. So in the next few episodes, if Meliodas’ condition remains the same, we might see another battle between one of the Sins and him. And since almost no other Sin is capable of facing him in his true form, Merlin will probably be the only one who will be able to bring him in control. Also, since Elizabeth is trying her best to protect him even in this state, it is possible that her love for him will eventually bring him back to his old self.
In conclusion, in the upcoming episode, along with intense action scenes, we can also expect some backstories surrounding Arthur’s character and some development around the relationship between Meliodas and Elizabeth.
