When Tina Linn found her life partner in Dean Clouse, her family was very happy for her. Her parents, Shelby and Leslie Linn, gave the young couple their blessings, while her siblings, Les and Sherry, could see how happy and smitten she was. It was only about a year after the wedding that the family lost all contact with Tina. They initially believed that she had joined a religious group and had made the decision to stop communicating with them, but the truth was far more tragic. In 2021, her siblings were informed that Tina had been killed around 1980. ABC’s ’20/20′, particularly the episode ‘Baby Holly Found’, features interviews with Les and Sherry, who spoke fondly of their sister and the answers they are still waiting to find.
Leslie Linn Passed Away When Tina Clouse Was a Child

Leslie Roy Linn was born on June 20, 1934, to a single mother, Mary Jane Paul. She took her young son to Oklahoma, where she later met and married Phillip Linn in 1942. This was where Leslie grew up and spent much of his life. He eventually married Shelby Jean Jones, and together they had three children, Les, Tina and Sherry. Everything was going well for the family until September 19, 1969, when Leslie passed away at just 35 years old in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His sudden death left behind his wife and three very young children, who would grow up without their father.
Shelby Rogers Never Found Out the Truth About Her Daughter
Born on May 19, 1937, Shelby Jean Jones was the daughter of Cisero and Nancy Jones and the ninth child in their family. Her younger brother, Norman, was born four years later. Shelby was only nine when her father died, and at 12, she also lost her mother. She and her siblings stayed with extended family for some time before Shelby married Leslie Linn and settled in Oklahoma with him. After his death in 1969, Shelby found love again and married Richard George Alger, with whom she moved to the Daytona Beach, Florida, area, along with her children. She was happy when Tina and Dean moved to Texas, but she never got the chance to speak to her daughter again. Shelby died on August 29, 2005, without learning what had happened to Tina. For most of her life, she believed Tina had joined a religious group and chosen to cut contact with her family.

Tina Clouse’s siblings, Les Linn and Sherry Green, remember how deeply she was in love with Dean. Les said she had always been devoted to him, and from what he saw, their marriage appeared almost picture-perfect. In 1980, when Tina and Dean left for Texas, they stayed with Sherry for a short time before continuing on their journey. Sherry recalled that Tina gave her their new address, but when she sent a letter, it was returned as undelivered, immediately making her feel that something was not right. The siblings finally received answers in 2021, when Tina and Dean’s remains were identified.

They later visited the site with members of the Clouse family and have remained involved with the Dean and Tina Linn Clouse Memorial Fund. While Les maintains a more private profile, Sherry has spoken publicly about the case. She is based in DeLand, Florida, and is a graduate of Daytona State College. She is also a mother to Sandy LeFevre, Jimmy Hutchinson, Jenna and Valie Green, and is now a grandmother and great-grandmother as well. Both siblings have spoken about Tina’s story on various platforms and continue to hope that the remaining questions surrounding her death will eventually be answered.
