10 Worst Movies With the Most Awesome Trailers

5. Iron Man 3

In 2013, after The Avengers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe came up with the seventh installment Iron Man 3. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, and the Oscar winner Ben Kingsley in the lead roles. It depicts the story of Tony Stark after the event of The Avengers. The trailer of the movie was amazing, Impressive action sequences, Ironman suits, and the strong cast. Many expected this film to be the Dark Knight Ironman film. But when the movie came out, the fans were wrong. It had more Tony Stark on screen than Ironman. The movie simply did not give us the heroic Ironman what the trailer promised us and the movie was absolutely terrible.

4. Sucker Punch

This is an American fantasy thriller released in 2011. Director Zack Snyder gave us his 5th film with a female lead role. The trailer was amazing. Beautiful ladies fighting against some ancient monsters in a supernatural scale. With Emily Browning on the lead role, the trailer looked like it is a mix of 300 and Sin City. The film was wasted with crappy plot and less potential. Snyder was not a bad director, at the same time he was also not the best. He has his own style of direction and not everyone likes it. And Sucker Punch could have done better.

3. Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen

The second installment in Transformers series was released in 2009 by Michael Bay. This film tells the return of Megatron and taking revenge by turning on an engine that would destroy the sun and the earth. It reprises Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in the lead role. We all know how Michael Bay make films. With so much patriotism and explosions, his movies are not the best. The trailer gives us the best elements of the movie. Impressive special effect shots, locations at Giza, hotness of Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf arguing with the autobots. This movie had moments and elements but all these were already exposed in the trailer.

2. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Director George Lucas stepped into the 21st century with Star Wars Episode 1, an epic space opera film. This film is also a prequel to the previous trilogy. It tells the story of who Anakin Skywalker is and how he turns into the Darth Vadar. This movie was one of the most long waited prequels. And this trailer gave a breathtaking hype to everyone. The fans all over the world were flattered as they knew that the set of prequel is in production. The trailer shows us we’ll definitely love this movie as we all loved its previous trilogy. But it did not end that way. Even with all those space explosions, digitally morphed alien characters and lightsbar combats, it was a mess.

1. Terminator Salvation

After the epic sci-fi by James Cameron, Terminator franchise became one of the action packed blockbuster in the movie history. In 2009, Terminator Salvation was tied right next to the franchise marking the fourth installment. This film depicts the war between skynet and humanity. It has Christian Bale and Sam Worthington on the leading roles. With Bale’s voiceover, the trailer conveys that the judgment day happened and John Connor is leading the resistance. It seems that the fans of the franchise will finally be seeing what Connor will really do and why is it very important to save his life in the previous trilogy. With a rustic tone, the trailer gave us so many special effect shots from the movie. And we all know what happened for Bale on the set of shooting.
