Blake Lively played the role of Krista Coughlin in Ben Affleck’s The Town. She managed to portray her character as a damaged single mother who is addicted to drugs. The actress left a great impact even though her total screen time in the movie was around six minutes and she had five major scenes throughout. The character is shaped up via dialogues of people who have personally known her which makes the character all the more mysterious and mythical. In order to portray her character well, Lively visited several bars and observed the mannerisms of addicted women.

It is one of the most popular and internationally acclaimed TV shows in Lively’s career as an actress. The role of Serena Van Der Woodson had a great impact on the actress’s career. Lively speaks about her challenge to make Serena look natural, she was busy 18 hours a day on the set and how after the first episode was aired, people’s reaction made the job all the more exciting. Although, she admits the character in the TV show has nothing in common with her.

Savages is an American thriller film about two best friends, one being a former Navy SEAL Chon and the other being the peaceful botanist Ben who are successful entrepreneurs producing and dealing in high-quality weed. Chon bought the best seeds from Afghanistan and Ben using his knowledge to develop the best marijuana in the country. Chon and Ben share the pothead lover Ophelia, played by Blake Lively. Their comfortable life takes a flip when the Mexican Baja Cartel demands a share in their business. Although the film received mixed reviews, Blake Lively portrayed her femme fatale O perfectly!

 

2. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

This film revolves around four best girlfriends and their teenage lives. Blake Lively plays one of the girls among four and portrays the character of Bridget who manages to get her hands on a pair of jeans. The girls take turns in sharing the pair of jeans that magically fit all four girls over the summer. They call it the travelling pants and vow to send them across to each other over the summer. This pair of jeans is a symbol of their tight bond. The story also depicts angles like a teenager’s love life, relationship with their parents among others. Lively got the Teen Choice Award nomination for her screen work in the movie.

 

1. The Shallows

This engrossing survival thriller follows a woman who, after travelling to an isolated beach following her mother’s death, encounters a great white shark and needs to fight her way out of the situation. Blake Lively is brilliant as Nancy Adams and delivers a fiercely powerful performance in a role that is emotionally and physically demanding. Jaume Collet-Serra’s energetic direction elevates the raw tension of the film and the shark attack scenes are brilliantly filmed, terrifying you in ways you couldn’t possibly explain. It’s raw, edgy, tense and incredibly terrifying.
