The hit Adult Swim series ‘Rick and Morty’ is set to return for its fourth season in November 2019. The series co-creator Dan Harmon has turned up with some story ideas for the fifth season of the popular series. Harmon posted two images from the ‘Rick and Morty‘ writer’s room on his Instagram. The images reveal Harmon and co-writer Rob Schrab covered a table with yellow notes full of ideas for the coming season.
“The amount of season 5 ideas Rob Schrab can come up within a day is just awe-inspiring,” Harmon wrote on Instagram, “from a certain distance at which I should have stayed.”
Some of the major ideas include ‘bark-nado,’ ‘The People’s (Basketball) Court,’ ‘Detachable Fingers (or Toes),’ ‘Women Made of Fish,’ ‘Trench Coat Made of Dreams,’ and ‘Rick Discovers the 11th Commandment,’ among others. Harmon also added that these were not actual titles of episodes in season 5.
WarnerMedia announced that the fourth season of the popular series is set to return in November 2019 at the upfront presentation in New York. Season 4 premieres after a long gap of two years since season 3 finale in October 2017. Similarly, season 2 also took more than one year to start rolling in July 2015 after the Season 1 ended in April 2014. There was a two-year break between the finale of Season 2 in October 2015 and premiere of Season 3 on April 2017.
Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim has given out an order of 70 episodes for the series because it has become a rating bonanza for the broadcaster with the third season finale hitting a 3.9 rating in adults 18-24 and a 3.2 in adults 18-34 in Nielsen’s Live+Same Day numbers. Both figures are a record in the history of ratings of the network.
