Will There be a Farm Expert 2020?

Not everyone gets it, but Farming simulators occupy a unique niche in the video gaming industry. Many gamers may even scoff at the notion of playing a game about agriculture, but others swear by the relaxing, meditative nature of harvesting crops and rearing livestock in the virtual world. Games like ‘Stardew Valley’ and the ‘Farming Simulator’ are proof of this and have gained significant critical acclaim and cultivated dedicated fanbases.

Now a new series is looking to impress agronomy aficionados everywhere, starting out with ‘Farm Expert 2019’, which released earlier this year. While good enough for a first time release on a major console platform, some additions are really needed to make the game a more appealing overall package. Will there be a ‘Farm Expert 2020’ that implements those improvements? Read on to find out everything we know.

What Can We Expect From Farm Expert 2020?

‘Farm Expert 2019’ is a farming simulator game presented from a third person perspective. Players are left in charge of their very own farm that they must sow with crops, irrigate and harvest in a timely fashion while also managing your livestock and breeding.

The game is based on the older Farm Expert game on Android and iOS and features several improvements including 20 different agricultural machines required in a variety of different agricultural processes, four massive open worlds including American farms, Spanish farms, German farms and British farms. The game also features an extensive cow breeding program that allows you to manage your livestock as well as a fruit-growing and collecting mechanic. Whatever equipment and materials you need to fulfill various tasks, you can buy from an in game store. All said and done, the developers claim that ‘Farm Expert 2019’ provides 50 hours of gameplay.

What we can expect from a possible ‘Farm Expert 2020’ game is an expanded selection of maps, including other farm types from other continents and cultures for a more colorful experience. A more comprehensive animal husbandry system with a greater selection of animals like fowl, horses, pigs, sheep, etc. would also be a fantastic addition for a more immersive experience.

While ‘Farm Expert 2019’ certainly betrays its mobile game roots, ‘Farm Expert 2020’ stands to be a full-fledged console experience with better visuals, control scheme and better user interface interaction.

Farm Expert 2020 Developers: Who Could be People Behind It?

‘Farm Expert 2020’ will likely be developed and published by video game development studio Games Solutions 2. They are best known for games such as ‘Space Hulk’ and ‘Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch’

Farm Expert 2020 Release Date: When And Where Can I Play It?

‘Farm Expert 2019’ only came out in early 2019, so it stands to reason that there is yet some time to go before we get a sequel. Even if development on the game has already begun internally, I wouldn’t expect ‘Farm Expert 2020’ to come out sometime by the end of 2020.

It will very likely be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
