Mary Welch Stasik’s Family and Early Life
A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary grew up in a tight-knit and loving family. Although she does not reveal a lot about her family in public, the designer values her roots, and to this day, shares a deep and intimate bond with her loved ones. Mary often takes to social media to express her gratitude towards her family members. Apart from the happy moments, she also shares heart-touching posts with her followers, like the one she shared when her grandfather passed away in November 2020. Mary is quite close to her father and refers to herself as a “Dad’s girl for life.”
Ever since a young age, Mary was interested in designing. She loved exploring new things and experimenting with anything and everything that took her fancy. During an interview, Mary mentioned how she and her father would visit fabric stores so that she could select the bedding and windows that would be used in her room. Her love for interior design soon took root, and after graduating high school, Mary found herself studying Interior Design at Colorado State University.
Once she earned her degree, there was no looking back for the designer. She went on to work for companies in Colorado, New York City, and Chicago and honed her skills in the process. Mary also dabbled her feet in the music and fashion industries before falling back to her true love – Interior Design.
Mary Welch Stasik’s Husband
Mary Welch Stasik is happily married to her husband, Ryan Stasik, a bassist in the jam band Umphrey’s McGee and the synthwave group Doom Flamingo. The University of Notre Dame alum has enjoyed a quite successful career in the music industry. The two got together and dated for quite some time before deciding to exchange wedding vows in November 2011 in Charleston, South Carolina. Mary and Ryan tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony graced by an outstanding performance by Ryan’s bandmates.
The couple is now living the life of their dreams with their two children. Beach visits and surfing are activities they love engaging in during their free time, although music holds a special place in their hearts. Additionally, the family loves traveling and making memories together. Mary and Ryan are also quite open about their love and have never held back from expressing it on social media. Mary Welch Stasik and her husband, Ryan, are proud parents to two beautiful children. According to reports, their elder daughter Amelia West was born in 2013, while the younger daughter, Micky Simone, came into this world in 2018. Mary even mentioned that the couple went through some struggles while trying to conceive a second time, but they pulled through. Both children are the light of their parents’ lives, and the four can often be seen making beautiful memories together.
