When Will Baki Part 4 Release on Netflix?

‘Baki’, the master of ground and pound, has finally returned. Pretty much like most shounen out there, the plot of ‘Baki’ is very simple and revolves around a titular teen who is determined to become the strongest fighter in the world. But more than that, ‘Baki’ is also about all the trials and tribulations one must face just to experience the truest form of passion towards an artform. The major driver of the show’s narrative is its well-choreographed fight scenes that not only boast intense martial arts-centric action but also develop the characters involved in them. As the story progresses, new characters are also added to the mix, which further increases the stakes of the combats and makes more room for new potential ideas in context with fight technicalities and strategies.

As inspiring as Baki’s characters may seem, they lack any form of deeper development, and that works perfectly well with what the anime intends to be. It associates each character with a particular martial arts style and for the most part, it still manages to leave a mark on you in one way or the other. ‘Baki’ may not be for everyone, but its pure, brutal fight sequences are enough to keep most action anime fans entertained. As you may already know, Netflix has already released its third season. If you’re a fan, like us, you must be wondering when its next season will come out on the streaming giant. Well, here’s everything you need to know about its renewal status.

Baki Season 4 Release Date on Netflix

The original ‘Baki’ anime, which first premiered back in 2001, is still celebrated as one of the best sports anime. In 2018, Netflix released a whole new version of ‘Baki’ which was divided into two different parts. Following this, the streaming giant released its third part on June 4, 2020, which has a total of 13 episodes. Now considering how Netflix took a two-cour season approach with its first season by dividing it into two parts of 13 episodes each, we can expect something similar from season 2 as well. Just like part 1 and part 2, part 3 also has a total of 13 episodes. This suggests that part 3 will now be followed by a whole new season that’ll again have 13 more episodes continuing its storyline.

Apart from that, the third part of the anime also ends with a major cliffhanger where Ryukoh Yanagi escapes from prison. Even in the closing moments of the 13th episode of part 3, Ryukoh remains to be free while Inspector Sonoda sets out to seek all the criminals who created all that mess in Tokyo. This ambitious ending of its third part suggests that there’s a lot more to its story. Speaking of its storyline, the current Raitai Tournament Arc takes up almost 80 chapters of source material (chapters 159 to 240). This makes it pretty obvious that the creators of the show still have a lot more source material content to adapt in the next season. Considering Netflix’s previous release schedule, we can expect ‘Baki’ Season 4 to release sometime in April 2021. Till then, make sure that you do check out its third part.
