Fate/Grand Order Babylonia Episode 11 Recap

Titled “Temple of the Sun”, episode 11 begins with Gilgamesh reminiscing his friendship with Enkidu. Meanwhile, as soon as Ritsuka and his group reach the Temple of the Sun, to their surprise, they find Quetzalcoatl waiting for them. He claims that since, for the most part, his existence relies on humans, he has no intention of completely destroying them. But adding to this, he also boldly says that he gets a weird sort of fascination out of battling and challenging humans. Quetzalcoatl gets really intrigued by Ritsuka’s shallow motives and decides to play his game. She challenges him to destroy the Sun above the temple and claims that she’ll surrender if he’s able to do it.

Ritsuka’s servants start dueling Quetzalcoatl and in the meantime, he makes his way to the top of the temple to destroy the sun. When he looks down at the battle between the servants and Quetzalcoatl, he realizes that Quetzalcoatl is holding herself back and has no intention of battling. He then jumps off from the top of the temple and tries to attack Quetzalcoatl mid-air. This leap of faith that he takes, really impress Quetzalcoatl and she agrees to join him. With this, the preparations to move the Axe of Marduk to Uruk are made and while they are at it, Ritsuka is reminded of how Sherlock Holmes had told him about Roman’s contribution in Marisubury Animusphere win during the 4th Holy Grail War.

Ritsuka firmly believes that Roman cannot be trusted since he kept all of these facts a big secret. But even after knowing about all of this, Mash trusts him completely. Much later, during one of his night watch sessions, Ritsuka ends up falling asleep and catches a small glimpse of a goddess who looks a lot like Ishtar. When the group goes back to Uruk the next day, they meet Siduri who tells them that something has happened to Gilgamesh. In the meantime, Gilgamesh discovers that he is dead after he opens up his eyes in the Underworld.
