In fact, there were speculations that he would be launched into Tollywood and Bollywood simultaneously with his debut movie, but that didn’t happen. However, his Bollywood debut might not be too long down the road. He is good looking, he can dance and has most of the qualities Bollywood needs. He’s got many acquaintances in Bollywood, and that is the most important to get into the industry. And did I mention that his father is Nagarjuna Akkineni, who could get him mentored by any top star, including Salman Khan?
5. Suriya
His ‘Singham’ and ‘Gajini’ were remade and they stood as the biggest movies in Ajay Devgan and Aamir Khan’s careers respectively. Suriya is huge star in Kollywood. He’s a remarkable actor and he has proved that time and again. He already has decent fame in Telugu industry, and surprisingly, few of his movies fetch better business in Telugu. He’s got the looks to become a heart-throb of Bollywood, the acting skills to get acclaim and charisma to become a star across the nation.
4. Samantha Ruth Prabhu
The actress has achieved star status long back across Southern Film Fraternities. She has heavenly looks, she can act with grace and her range of Cinema is amazing. Provided of restricted an actress’s range can get in Indian movies, she has done enough for herself as an actress. She’s already a huge star in Telugu and Tamil. Her popularity across North is decent, despite not making a Bollywood film. It might not be very difficult for her to woo the Bollywood audience when given a chance.
3. Dulquer Salman
Much like Nivin Pauly, Dalquer’s charm and persona has given him a lot of popularity. The legendary Mammotty’s son is taking giant strides and has already achieved Superstar status in Malayalam Industry. It’s a matter of time before he spreads his wings throughout South. And with such a huge potential and talent, Bollywood might soon hear him knocking the doors.
2. Allu Arjun
Allu Arjun is one of the few actors who has national wide popularity without doing a Bollywood movie. He’s acted in a couple of commercials which were marketed national wide due to his popularity. Like many other stars, he’s got great looks, he dances like a dream and unlike many stars, he’s more than a decent actor. That being said, he has had several opportunities to make his Bollywood debut which he sent packing. He’s made it clear time and again that his focus is down South. But who know’s, when something exciting comes his way, he may break his word.
1. Mahesh Babu
Mahesh Babu has been perfect to make a Bollywood debut since ages now. His popularity across the nation is incomparable to any other Tollywood star. He has been repeatedly named as India’s most desirable man by several magazines. His acting skill is beyond questionable. Many Bollywood directors and actresses have declared interest to work with him on several occasions. However, Mahesh has been strong on his word to focus his concentration in entertaining his millions of fans down South. In fact, he’s never made a straight movie in any other language until the most recent ‘Spyder’. But there is hope though. S.S. Rajamouli and himself, both have announced that they will collaborate soon, so that might be his big break into Bollywod.
PS: Ajith Kumar and Sudeep Kiccha aren’t mentioned on the list since they’ve made appearances in ‘Ashoka’ and ‘Rakta Charitra respectively. Both of them are huge stars and phenomenal actors. They deserve a full fledged role in Bollywood films
