What Does Covering Tattoos at Tattoo Redo Cost?

As the title suggests, Netflix’s ‘Tattoo Redo’ is a creative reality series that follows individuals who want to have some of the most skilled tattoo artists in the industry cover-up their awkward and unwanted body art designs. In this fascinating show, the focus is on the comic and imaginative aspects of ink patterns, along with how people can sometimes make unwise choices when they’ve lost a bet, are young and drunk, or are simply in love. But, if you’re curious to know how much the tattoo cover-up costs, we’ve got the details for you.

What’s the Price of Covering Tattoos at Tattoo Redo Cost?

The five incredible artists on ‘Tattoo Redo’ are realism perfectionist Adrian “Twig Sparks,” Japanese design specialist Matt Beckerich, color illustrator Miryam Lumpini, ornamental professional Rose Hardy, and black and grey ink expert Tommy Montoya. All these creators and businesses owners are at the top of their game today, with each of them having at least 13 years of experience. Thus, of course, their prices match the quality of their work and then some. Moreover, due to a newfound appreciation of their careers in entertainment, they’re in high demand.

Those clients who got their cover-up tattoos on the program not only had their embarrassing bodywork removed for good, but they also allowed the artists to show off to the entire world. With that and the fact that a whole production team was involved in the matter, it’s unclear if and exactly how much each of them paid for the job. Yet, we do know that it would’ve also depended on size — the bigger the piece, the costlier it gets. And, if color gets involved, especially in a cover-up as it’s more work, the charge goes higher.

Since these experts have their own tattoo parlors in Miami, California, and New York, along with the fact that some of them take both national and international bookings, their rates are on the higher end. In simple words, because an under 2-inch tattoo averages from anywhere between $30 to $100 today, they probably charge $80-$110 for the same. Those designs ranging from 2 to 6 inches can come between $200 to $500. Then, the price rises with the size. Otherwise, they can also charge a rate of $200 to $300 per hour. We’ll be honest, though, their work is unquestionably worth it.
