The Princess Switch 3 Release Date
‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again’ released on November 19, 2020, on the streaming platform Netflix. If you’re a fan of the franchise and are looking forward to a third installment, then rejoice! The project has been greenlit, and production is supposed to start in Scotland later this year. As of now, ‘The Princess Switch 3’ is slated to release around the holidays in 2021. (However, it is possible that some delays occur owing to the pandemic).
The Princess Switch 3 Cast: Who can be in it?
In ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again,’ Vanessa Hudgens takes on the triple roles of Margaret Delacourt, Princess Stacy DeNovo, and Lady Fiona Pembroke. Needless to say, she will be reprising her role in the next film.
Although other cast members have not been finalized, we expect to see quite a few familiar faces yet again. Sam Palladio plays Crown Prince Edward of Belgravia, Nick Sagar is Kevin Richards, Mark Fleischmann takes on the role of Frank De Luca, and Suanne Braun is Mrs. Donatelli. They are expected to make a comeback.
The Princess Switch 3 Plot: What can it be About?
The story of ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again’ is that Margaret is now going to be crowned the Queen of Montenaro after her father’s passing. When her ex, Kevin, comes to the coronation, sparks fly between the former couple. However, because of the duties of the monarch, Margaret is unable to take any time out for Kevin.
So, Stacy and Margaret decide to switch places yet again for a few hours. Unbeknownst to them, however, Margaret’s cousin, Lady Fiona Pembroke, is also eyeing the throne so that she can fill up her own pockets. Will she be able to successfully kidnap Margaret and leverage the throne for money? This is the question that the plot answers.
In the first film, Hudgens plays 2 characters that swap places. In the 2nd feature, she plays 3 such roles. Naturally, with the third movie already greenlit, people were curious about if she’d take on 4 roles! The actress dismissed this train of thought— “No, no, that’s just too outrageous. We’re already at max outrageous here with three characters, we’re just going to keep it at that.”
Hudgens added, “And I would 100% lose my mind if I tried to add another me, even though it would probably be Scottish [and] I love that accent and it would be a great excuse to master the Scottish accent. But no, that’s not happening.” So, as far as ‘The Princess Switch 3’ is concerned, we can expect to see some more royal invitations that lead to characters trading lives. As for the particular storyline that is chosen, we will have to wait for further news, as the scope is quite wide.
