Eyes are one of the most prominent features of a person. Personally, I am a sucker for women with beautiful eyes (TMI). Anime has understood the fact that eyes are really important when creating a character. They have done a good job of creating some of the most expressive and special kind of eyes in their movies or series. In this list, I have included both girls whose eyes are special and have unique abilities and also girls who have just beautiful looking eyes. So, enjoy! 14. Shiki Ryougi, Kara no Kyoukai 1: Fukan Fuukei (2007)
Shiki Ryougi is one of the staple characters from the anime movie ‘Kara no Kyoukai 1: Fukan Fuukei’. She was born into the Ryougi family and as is customary she was brought up with two different personalities. A male personality and a female one. Generally, males are born in the Ryougi family and are raised with dual personalities. One of a boy called Yang and the other of a girl called Yin. After an accident, Shiki ended up in a coma for two years. When she woke up she found that her male personality is no more there. She decided to see if somehow she can get it back. Shiki possesses unique eyes which have the power called “Mystic Eyes of Death Perception”. The movie is kinda good too.

13. Yuki Nagato, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2006)
Yuki Nagato appears in the sci-fi, comedy genre anime series ‘Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu’. She appears to be a normal student who is currently a freshman. She is quite cute and has beautiful eyes. I liked her both with and without glasses though Kyon, the main character of the anime prefers her without her glasses. I liked the series too. It’s a good sci-fi series and sometimes is funny. Yuki Nagato is a member of SOS Brigade. Unlike most of the members of the group, she wasn’t forced to join. She just happened to be there when Haruhi laid claim to the place. She didn’t mind that. Yuki can be mostly seen wearing her school uniform.

12. Jibril, No Game No Life (2014)
Jibril belongs to the Flügel race. She is beautiful and has magnificent eyes with such vivid color combinations that I can’t describe it. Just look at it yourself. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Of course, it is. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be in the list silly. She is kinda sexy too. Anyway, Jibril is the strongest of her race and has a massive hunger for knowledge. She was even against sharing this knowledge and protested against the sharing of books. She also didn’t trust humans. After being defeated by Sora she became his servant.

11. Ahiru Arima, Princess Tutu (2002)
Ahiru Arima is a cute little girl who has large beautiful eyes. She is a character from the anime ‘Princess Tutu’. She is adorable. But she almost wasn’t going to be a cute little girl. Her name actually means duck in Japanese. Why would such a cute girl be named like that? Well, because she actually used to be a duck. No, I am not kidding. Things like this always happen in anime. She was transformed by Drosselmeyer who gave her a pendant to transform whenever she wanted. She is a great ballet dancer too.

10. Black★Rock Shooter, Black★Rock Shooter (2012)
This character is the alternate version of one of the main protagonist from the anime series ‘Black★Rock Shooter’. She is from an alternate universe and represents Mato from the other universe. Her eyes are Blue and she wears dark clothing. These include a string Bikini which is worn underneath a black jacket. She is badass and owns a black colored katana which is known as the Black Blade. Black★Rock Shooter also owns a cool gun which is named as the ★Rock Cannon. She looks quite daring with uneven twin tails and her left eye is shown to shoot out a blue colored flame.

9. Eru Chitanda, Hyouka (2012)
Up next is a really cute anime girl who has beautiful purple colored eyes. This girl is Eru Chitanda one of the main characters from the anime series ‘Hyouka’. She has a very cheerful personality too. She is usually calm but often gets excited when things of interest happen. Eru comes from a family of very wealthy farmers. Her family name is Chitanda. She is mostly seen wearing her school uniform and always has a bright expression on her face. She is close to Houtarou and whenever she gets curious about a certain mystery she drags him to solve it.

8. Hinata Hyuga, Naruto (2002)
Though at first she was shown to be a timid side character Hinata Hyuga turned out to be a pretty amazing ninja. She became one of the prettiest characters in the entire ‘Naruto’ series. I kinda find her sexy (Is it just me?). Hinata has pale eyes. This is due to her Kekkei Genkai known as Byakugan which is one of rare visual prowess. She belongs to the Hyuga clan whose people have the Kekkei Genkai. She belongs to a royal and prestigious family of her clan. Her special technique is the gentle fist.

7. Orihime Inoue, Bleach (2004)
Alright, I know what you guys are thinking. You are thinking that Orihime’s eyes aren’t special. She doesn’t have Sharingan or burning eyes and that I must have included her for the other two obvious reasons. But let me tell all of you that’s I just included her because I like her eyes a lot. They scream innocence as well as determination when required. I included her because even though her eyes are of a normal brown color they are very expressive and are quite beautiful to look at. Come on, just look at her.

6. Viola, One Piece (1999)
Viola is one of the powerful female casts of the pirate-themed action, adventure series ‘One Piece’. She used to be an assassin. She has royal heritage being the daughter of King Riku Dold III and the current heir to his thrown since her sister Rebecca had forfeited her title. Viola has curly dark brown hair which she keeps pulled back. She also wears a rose to keep her hair in place. The rose is actually there to conceal a dagger. But she is on this list because of her special eyes. She ate the devil fruit Giro Giro no Mi which gave her visual prowess. She now can use clairvoyance and has the ability to see anything within a radius of four thousand kilometers (what!!!). Viola can also use her eyes in combat in where her tears attack the opponent.

5. Nia Teppelin, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (2007)
If you have thought about watching this series and still haven’t watched it then steer clear of this paragraph and move onto the next girl in the list cause SPOILER ALERT. Nia Teppelin was found by Simon in a capsule which was lying in the middle of a dump site. She is a cute looking beautiful girl and has pretty pale blue colored eyes. She is actually not a human but rather an artificial being created by Anti-Spiral. Nia falls in love with Simon who reciprocates. By the end of the series, they get married but Nia slowly vanishes from existence after the marriage. The scene is quite sad.

4. Kaori Miyazono, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (2014)
Before I talk about Kaori I want to take a moment to let the anime consumers know that if you haven’t watched this anime please do so. It is a really nice drama, romance genre anime which shows how to fight depression. kaori Miyazono is the female protagonist of the series. She is an amazing violinist is the one who encourages Kousei to start playing piano again, which he had left after the death of his mother. Kaori has bright eyes with blue iris. Her eyes communicate a lot and are a gateway to her soul. I love her character.

3. Evergreen, Fairy Tail (2009)
Evergreen is a mage and of the strongest female characters from the fantasy, magic genre anime series ‘Fairy Tail’. Most of the lists that I compile has some mention of ‘Fairy Tail’ or its characters. It is a really popular and nice anime and has got a good plot and great characters. Evergreen is a powerful mage who belongs to the Fairy Tail guild. She has green colored hair and has a very curvy body with great assets. Her eyes are of dark brown color but become green when she is using her magical powers in which she can turn any human who looks into her eyes to stone provided they are not wearing any glasses.

2. Kurumi TokiSaki, Date A Live (2013)
Kurumi Tokisaki is one of the most dangerous spirits in the anime series ‘Date A Live’. I mean, what do you expect from a girl with the code name Nightmare. Kurumi is also the main antagonist of the anime. Her eyes are quite unique. They are heterochromatic, meaning each of her eyes is of a different color. She has two very different personalities. One is of a calm sweet girl while the other is of a psychopathic killer.

1. Violet Evergarden, Violet Evergarden (2018)
Violet Evergarden is the titular character from the recent anime series ‘Violet Evergarden’. She has one of the most beautiful eyes that I have seen recently in anime. I mean they are not anything special and all, they just look so pretty. Violet is an auto memory doll who was created for fighting against the enemy during the war. Now after the war is over she is looking for the meaning of the last words spoken by the person who was closest to her.
