‘Yesterday’ Star Himesh Patel Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’

Himesh Patel, who was recently seen in ‘Yesterday’, has bagged a key role in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated film, ‘Tenet‘. Notably, sources say that Patel has landed one of the last roles in the movie but details of Patel’s role remains under wraps for now. Patel will star alongside John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Robert Pattinson, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh.

Nolan is directing ‘Tenet’ from an original screenplay that he wrote. The acclaimed director is said to be using a mixture of Imax and 70mm film to bring the movie to the big screen. Nolan’s wife, Emma Thomas is producing the movie along with him. Thomas Hayslip is on board as the executive producer. The rest of the creative team involved in making ‘Tenet’ includes Hoyte van Hoytema, the director of photography, Nathan Crowley, the production designer, Jennifer Lame, the editor, Andrew Jackson, the visual effects supervisor, and Jeffrey Kurland, the costume designer. Nolan is not working with his usual choice, Hans Zimmer, for the film’s score, instead opting to work with composer Ludwig Göransson. The production work on ‘Tenet’ is currently underway. The movie is slated to be released on July 17, 2020.

‘Tenet’ is one of Nolan’s most ambitious projects yet since the film is being filmed on location across seven countries. It has been described as an action epic that revolves around the world of international espionage. Not much else is known about Nolan’s movie at this point but ‘Tenet’ has already managed to create a buzz since Warner Bros. secretly released a short trailer of ‘Tenet’ ahead of Imax screenings of ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’. The trailer comes almost a year before the movie’s release.

As far as Himesh Patel is concerned, the British actor recently rose to fame due to his appearance in the Danny Boyle movie. The plot follows a world where the Beatles do not exist in anyone’s memory. A struggling musician is the only exception and Patel’s character takes the opportunity to introduce the world to the music of the Beatles. He becomes incredibly famous in the process. The movie performed beyond expectations, making $72 million in domestic markets and $130 million worldwide. Patel will next be seen in ‘The Aeronauts’, an upcoming adventure film from Amazon Studios. He is going to appear alongside Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. The movie will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Apart from that, Patel is slated to appear along with Hugh Laurie on the HBO limited series, ‘Avenue 5’. He is also going to be seen on the BBC miniseries, ‘The Luminaries’, which is set in the 1860s.
