Besides a beautiful setting, it will manage to surprise you because of its twists. Also, Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney are really funny and have amazing chemistry together.

Nominated for three Golden Globes, this movie tells the story of how a bookshop owner’s life was changed when he meets Anna Scott, the world’s most beautiful and talented actress. “Notting Hill” has not only amazing visuals and cinematography but also an incredible storyline. All the characters feel very real but still, manage to surprise anyone watching. Moreover, Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts are amazing actors with great chemistry. This is an entertaining, intelligent and sweet movie that you will love if you like improbable love stories.

4. Pretty Woman (1990)
Edward is a merciless businessman that decides to hire an escort for some social events while on a business trip. What was supposed to be an uneventful arrangement turns out to be a love story. “Pretty Woman” became a huge success when it was first released because of a combination of factors. Firstly, the acting is superb, with Julia Roberts and Richard Gear giving great performances. Secondly, the smart script written by J.F. Lawton was able to conquer a lot of hearts. And, lastly, the refreshing and interesting storyline turned “Pretty Woman” into a timeless classic.

“Serendipity” follows Jonathan Tragger and Sara Thomas who met by chance in Christmas’ Eve. They exchange numbers in a unique way: Sara writes hers on a book, Jonathan on a five-dollar bill. Sara claims that if they are destined to be together these two items will find their way to them again. With a fresh and extremely romantic plot, “Serendipity” manages to capture the attention of its viewer quickly. With the help of relatable characters and great acting, the audience is constantly rooting for them to be together. It is just impossible not to be invested in such a great love story. “Serendipity” stars John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale in the main roles.

Margaret Tate is a Canadian editor working at a New York City publisher. When she faces deportation due to an expired visa, she creates a scheme with her assistant Andrew. With an incredible love story and an interesting and witty script, “The Proposal” is a great choice if you are looking for a romantic comedy. Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are amazing (Bullock even earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role), as well as the rest of the supporting cast. They have chemistry and create a lot of memorable moments, jokes and gags.

By creating a story that focuses on its two main characters, this movie provides amusing situations that will make you laugh and cry. A great choice for those looking for a romance movie.
