 RikeKoi Plot

Yukimura Shinya and Himuro Ayame are two scientists who are very curious about “love”. They want to devise a perfect theory that explains how humans fall in love. The fact that they have feelings for one another just makes it easier for them as they can now explain their own feelings using science. So they embark on a journey to not only explore their own love life even further but to explain it with scientific reasoning.

 RikeKoi Characters

Shinya Yukimura

Shinya is one of the two main characters in the series, who is a science graduate from the University of Saitama and works closely with Himuro Ayame. When she confesses her love for him, he realizes that he knows absolutely nothing about love. However, with this, he decides to embark on a journey to deduce a scientific explanation for what love is. At first, when Himuro tells him that she loves him, it really confuses him. He seems to know nothing about love and has no clue what he truly feels for her. At times, he also gets embarrassed too easily but is still always serious about his work. In appearance, he has medium bluish hair, wears black-framed glasses and sports a white lab court all the time.

Shinya is obsessed with mathematical and logical experiments and he turns pretty much anything into an experiment just to prove it with science. During his childhood, he never really had any contact with women and because of that, every time he is around them now, he feels nervous and extremely embarrassed. When it comes to science, he is an absolute genius, but he can be naive about human emotions and feelings at times.

Himuro Ayame

Himuro Ayame is the female protagonist of the show who is a 1st-year post-graduate science and technology researcher at Saitama University. In appearance, she has long lavender hair, green eyes and just like Sinya, she sports a white lab coat almost all the time. While Shinya performs the “love experiments” to get a better understanding of his own feelings for Himuro, she gets herself involved in these to prove her love for him. And just like Shinya, she does not really have much experience with relationships. So every time she is too close to him, she gets really nervous and starts blushing.
