Netflix has released an epic but a darker final trailer for the upcoming third season of ‘Stranger Things.’ Within a duration of 2-minute, 51-second, the clip hints at a harrowing third season for the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The popular ‘Stranger Things 3’ crew of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) return for more action in the trailer. But in the third outing, they have to deal with darker monsters and evil men.
“You let us in and now you are going to have to let us stay,” says a mysterious and intriguing voice in the trailer which doesn’t reveal the person behind the voice. Then, we see Eleven and her friends dig deep into the warning behind the ominous voice.
“What if he never left? What if we locked him out here with us? He’d want to attach himself to someone again. A new host.” says Will.
The following shots make it clear that the town has its new monster, and obviously, evil men who control it. The breathtaking trailer also reveals the tooth and nail fight ahead for Eleven and her gang in order to stay alive and save their town from an apparent wipe-out.
“No matter what happens, we have to stop him together,” says Mike in the trailer which ends up with Eleven and friends hiding from the unseen monster on the prowl.
According to Netflix, the upcoming third season of ‘Stranger Things’ is set in Hawkins in the mid-80s. As the summer is heating up, the town gets a new Mall. Eleven and crew are on the cusp of adulthood. The internal dynamics of the group is often shattered and strained with romance. But danger looms over the town while the crew struggle to become adults without splitting apart. As Mike declares in the trailer, they realize that friendship is always stronger than fear.
The titles for eight episodes of season 3 include ‘Suzie, Do You Copy?,’ ‘The Mall Rats,’ ‘The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,’ ‘The Sauna Test,’ ‘The Source,’ ‘The Birthday,’ ‘The Bite,’ and ‘The Battle of Starcourt.
‘Stranger Things’ garnered 10 Emmy and four Golden Globe nominations, and won six Creative Arts Emmys during its first two seasons. The upcoming summer of 1985 looks dangerous for the crew as the trailer cuts to black with the ominous warning, “We’re going to end you. We’re going to end your friends. And we’re going to end everyone.”
