‘Great White’ is an Australian survival film with horror elements that tells the story of a group of explorers who find themselves surrounded by a couple of great white sharks after their seaplane sinks. The movie is directed by Martin Wilson from a screenplay penned by Michael Boughen. It stars Katrina Bowden, Aaron Jakubenko, Tim Kano, Te Kohe Tuhaka and Kimie Tsukakoshi in the lead roles. What is Great White About?
In ‘Great White,’ Kaz Fellows and her boyfriend, Charlie, along with Benny, Joji, and his wife, Michelle, take a trip in a seaplane to Hell’s Reef. Shortly after arriving there, the group sees signs of a shark attack and is immediately alarmed. Before they can return, the seaplane sinks, and they find themselves in shark-infested waters in the plane’s raft. With interpersonal conflicts within the group, little resources, and almost no experience of dealing with such a situation, the group tries to fend off the shark, only to realize that there’s more than one great white in the water. Whether the group manages to make it to the shore or becomes prey for the sharks forms the rest of the plot.
