So, I Can’t Play H Season 2: Premiere Date, Plot, Characters

‘So, I Can’t Play H’, also known as Dakara boku-ha H ga Dekinai, is simply the perfect anime for anyone who is looking for an Ecchi show. It is full of fan service and revolves around the perverted adventures of a teenage boy. There is absolutely nothing more to it than that and it is pretty much a ‘High School DxD‘ clone. The entire plot is full of old clichéd gags and adult scenes. And yet despite all its limitations, the show somehow is quite entertaining actually.

Part of the reason for that could be that the series is not just a compilation of random scenes put together, but actually has a well-defined storyline. From what we see in most Ecchi series these days, it seems like even having a proper story is some sort of sin but ‘So, I Can’t Play H’ completely defies the common norm and puts together a pretty decent plot. Even the characters of the series are very well fleshed out and a lot of emphasis has been put on interactions between them. The anime also relies heavily on the relationship of the two main characters to move its plot forward and this is when it brings in certain elements of Harem as well.

When it comes to the Ecchi side of it, there are unnecessary moments where the characters get powered through eroticism and clothes of the female characters are shredded during battles. But the good thing about it is that almost all the fan service moments are used in one way or the other to make sense out of the overarching story.

When it comes to the technical side of the show, the music and art side of it is just average and there’s nothing too special about it. The character designs have been done exceptionally well and the soundtracks played during battle scenes have this upbeat feel to them that gets you all hyped up.

Overall, to enjoy this series to the fullest, all you have to do is to entirely focus on the story and characters. There is a whole lot of fan service and the anime is full of endless cliched gags but that’s something that you should be expecting from an anime like this one. So to put it simply, ‘So, I Can’t Play H’ is just another one of those guilty pleasures that you want to hate but end up liking.

So, I Can’t Play H Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?

‘So, I Can’t Play H’ season 1 premiered on July 6, 2012 and with a total of 12 episodes, it went on all the way till September 25, 2012. This season was then followed by a one-episode OVA titled ‘So, I Can’t Play H! Episode 13’ released on March 29, 2013. Now for the most part of it, ‘So, I Can’t Play H’ is an Ecchi anime which has a slightly below-average rating on most platforms. This clearly means that despite its popularity, there is nothing all that special about it. And after all these years, even the overall hype around the anime has faded away which leaves Studio feel. with absolutely no reason to go back to renew it.

Also, the light novel series, on which the anime is based, was nowhere close to coming to an end when the anime first came out. So the creators of the show were forced to create an anime original ending which drifted far away from the actual story of the light novels. Because of this, creating a sequel of the anime is not even possible anymore as its source material ends differently than how season 1 ends. So as of now, the possibility of getting a ‘So, I Can’t Play H’ season 2 release date is almost close to nil. If there are any confirmations regarding this in the future, we will surely update it here in this section.
