Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson are reuniting for the third time, and this time it will be in the Garden State. The two actors have been cast in a crime thriller movie titled ‘The Cackling of the Dodos,’ which will shoot in New Jersey between June 1 and July 12 this year. The Netflix feature will be helmed by Jason Bateman. Rye Curtis wrote the story, which follows small-town farmer George, who has a truly terrible day when he discovers a corpse chilling out in a grain bin and is unwittingly forced into a chaotic, sloppy cover-up by his boss, Denny.
Academy Award winner/BAFTA winner Sam Rockwell was last seen in the sci-fi action comedy movie ‘Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die,’ where he played “the Man from the Future.” He also returned to voice Wolf for the animated movie ‘The Bad Guys 2.’ Other upcoming movies we will see him in include Martin McDonagh’s biographical crime comedy drama ‘Wild Horse Nine,’ Zach Golden’s horror comedy ‘Hellhound,’ also starring Marisa Tomei, and the thriller flick ‘Tumor,’ directed by William Bridges, and also featuring Maisy Stella.
3-time Academy Award-nominated actor Woody Harrelson’s latest film credits include Eddie McCay in ‘Ella McCay’ and Merritt McKinney, one of the Four Horsemen, in ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.’ Among his upcoming projects are ‘Full Phil,’ a comedy movie directed by Quentin Dupieux and co-starring Kristen Stewart and Emma Mackey; and ‘Brother from Another Mother,’ an Apple TV+ series featuring Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey playing fictional versions of themselves as they try to live together on a Texas ranch.
Actor/director Jason Bateman has directed the comedy movies ‘Bad Words’ and ‘The Family Fang’ as well as several episodes of Netflix’s crime thriller shows ‘Black Rabbit’ and ‘Ozark,’ and HBO’s ‘The Outsider,’ based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.
