The movie is primarily set in Hawaii and was filmed on location in the state. Dating shows such as ‘Love Island USA (season 3)‘ and ‘Temptation Island‘ have also been filmed in Hawaii, making it the ideal filming spot for the movie. Oahu, Hawaii

Filming of ‘Love, For Real’ took place in Oahu, an island in the Hawaiian chain of islands. Oahu is the home to the town of Honolulu (in Honolulu County), which is the capital of Hawaii. The cast and crew visited Honolulu to film a significant portion of the movie.

Some sequences were filmed at Kualoa Ranch located at 49-560 Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe. The private nature reserve is spread over an area of 4,000-acres and is a popular tourist attraction. It offers various outdoor activities such as ATV riding, ziplining, kayaking, etc. Films such as ‘Jurassic Park,’ ‘Jurassic World,’ ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Godzilla vs. Kong‘ were shot at the property.

Filming also took place on the beaches along the island’s northern shore. Some scenes were shot at Kailua Beach, along the town of Kailua on the island’s eastern coast. During filming, the cast and crew were likely stationed at a hotel in the Waikiki neighborhood near Waikiki Beach. Actress Sasha Clements revealed that the cast played Empire, a game made up by director Maclain Nelson in their free time.

‘Love, For Real’ stars Chloe Bridges as Hayley, a career-driven young woman. The actress is perhaps best known for her role as Sydney Driscoll in ‘Pretty Little Liars.’ Hawaii native actress Taiana Tully stars as Bree, Hayley’s best friend. You might remember Tully as Detective Laura Palea from ‘Magnum P.I.‘ ‘High School Musical’ heartthrob Corbin Bleu essays the role of Marco, a dating show contestant.

Scott Michael Foster plays the part of Luke, a producer on the dating show. The actor is known for his role as Nathaniel Plimpton III on ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.’ Sasha Clements and Carson Fagerbakke appear in supporting roles as Candace and Vanessa. Clements and Fagerbakke are the real-life partners of Bleu and Foster, respectively.
